Hello,
I was curled up in a corner, sulking, when my wife came looking for me.
I told her I’m supposed to be working on this particular collaboration with Aditya Deshmukh, but can’t stop thinking of the promises I’ve made to my tribe. One of them was about staying in touch via email.
So I just HAD to put Project Aditya aside for a few minutes, and write you this short sweet email.
(Don’t tell him!)
Here are a few, quick updates:
I’m collaborating with Aditya on this super cool project which will hit the market any minute now (You might have even seen the teasers and announcements popping up on your social media)
We are almost done signing agreements with Athena contributors. So yes, Athena will also be hitting the market real soon. Wohooo!!
And I’m meeting, talking and conspiring with a lot of people to bring you a ton of cool stuff real soon. (Hint: Pack your bags, we might be meeting up in the near future.)
I know, I’ve said things like this a dozen times before. And you might be upset about it too. But … life happens.
You’re one of the people who have stayed with me for the past one year. When all hell was breaking loose, but I stayed my ground. ‘Cuz I knew my tribe was with me. My tribe was looking at me, looking out for me … and maybe, in some cases, looking up to me.
This is a very emotional time for me. Dastaan World is a year behind its announced schedule. But it’s alive. It’s standing right here in front of you. And it’s all set to catch up.
I don’t have Umair with me today. But that’s ok, I guess. People come and people go. I have a brand new team (and they all stepped forward from this very tribe when I was left on my own) … ready to kick some major ass.
I have the entire tribe … I have YOU!
And together we will reach greater heights than we ever thought possible.
Much Love,
Shakaib.
P.S. This last one year has taught me a lot. The more boldly you move in the direction of your dreams, there more “Resistance” you encounter. Be it in art, writing, entrepreneurship … anything. I was lucky to have come across
at just the right time. It set a lot of things in perspective. This book belongs on your desk as a creative soul. Go, get it. Thank me later.
P.P.S. Any links in any of my emails could likely result in some form of compensation for me. But rest assured, I won’t recommend anything I don’t believe in. TRIBE comes first!
