Dear
One of these two will have to die: Your to-do list, or your productivity.
Yes, that’s right. Your to-do list is strangling the life blood out of your productivity. It’s holding back that novel, that story, that book, that painting, or that startup. The one you’ve been meaning to write, paint or create, but somehow have never really got around to it.
That stupid little list is holding your dreams hostage! Yes, that’s what it is doing.
I realized this quite recently. You should NEVER have more than three tasks on your to-do list for any given day. Or you’re only setting yourself up for frustration.
And that’s assuming they are all important tasks. Unimportant stuff should not even be there in your life.
So in just a few days, we are now speeding ahead towards our next anthology (You do know about this one, don’t you?), and some other exciting projects. Including comics.*
Give it a shot, and you’ll be blown away by how much more you can get done by just getting rid of the fluff from your to-do list. And from your brain.
As Socrates says in Peaceful Warrior, “Take out the trash, Dan.” :) It’s on of my favorite movies.
Oh, and here’s a bonus tip. If you’re feeling really overwhelmed, put down al your to-do’s on a piece of paper. And then pick the 3 most important ones for your REAL to-do. Put the rest of the list in a drawer.
Your brain will stop freaking out. Cuz you’ve written it down. And it’s right there inside the drawer. So your brain can now free up the working memory of this “trash”.
Hope it helps
Best,Shakaib.
