Hey,

I don't know you noticed or not,  but it's been a few days since I wrote to you. (I hope you missed me, I missed you for sure)

It's one of those phases when you're probably overthinking, but probably uninspired.

You're way over in your head, but you still can't put it down in words. Maybe it's a form of what you'd call a “writer's block”.

So I finally got over mine just now. A bliniding flash of clarity has shown me the way. Again, lol!

So here's what I do when I'm feeling uninspired. I read. And I read a lot. But I don't know if it would be fair to mention it like this, because I'm reading a lot even when I'm NOT feeling uninspired.

It always opens your mind to new ideas, even if you're rereading something for the umpteenth time.

And I do have a habit of reading stuff (books, articles, blogs, comments, candy wrappers, you name it) over and over again.

I think it's a brilliant way to expand your mind. Even neuroscience agrees with me on this: Repetition is the key to deep learning.

And speaking of science, even Einstein is rumored to have recommended reading fairy tales if you wanna raise smart, imaginative kids.

And that brings me to my beloved Athena (I hope my wifey is not reading it, although she knows Athena very well, seeing her sitting there on the bookshelf right there in our room)

So go ahead, pick up you copy of Athena. Tales of Love, Magic and Sheer Madness. What better recipe to reignite your inspiration. And to raise imaginative kids.

Grab your copy here if you don't already own it. Or grab an extra copy if you already own one. Here's the link:

Love and blessings,

Shakaib.

P.S. I discovered another cool trick to beat “uninspiration” while talking to a friend. Will reveal it the next time. So don't miss my next email.
