If you're an artist, writer, entrepreneur or a passionate creator of any sort, work/life balance is not for you.
The first problem with this idea is that you're creating a polarity when you are separating "work" and "life". Sort of pitting them against each other as opposites.
So work becomes the opposite of life. Something that's inevitable, but to be avoided for as long as possible.
Not good!
I like the idea of integration a lot better. Where work and play and family and friends and health and money all join together in this glorious dance of life.
So I don't take my work hat off when I'm with my family. Neither do I take my fun hat off when I'm working.
Cuz there's just one hat. Life hat.
Do what you will with that information.
